Instructions for the use of Priessnitz wrap:
Priessnitz wrap is a short-term cold compress that causes deep local blood circulation to accelerate the healing processes in the body.
Soak the inner removable cotton part of the wrap in cold water (for children, choose less cold water).
Insert the well wrung out cotton piece into the wrap by tucking it under the straps. Apply to the body and fasten with button loops to ensure that the wrap adheres to the body as closely as possible to maximise its effect. Always apply the wrap directly to the skin.
Do not leave the Priessnitz wrap on overnight!! The wrap should also not be applied to infected areas, wounds that are not healing well, skin diseases such as eczema, etc. In case of application of the wrap on small children it is better to consult a doctor first.
Dry - the warm wrap can be used as a wrap itself, but to increase the effect of the heat you can warm the inner cotton part, for example by ironing. Our recommendation is to use warm pads.
Do not leave the Priessnitz wrap on overnight!!
Length of use of the wrap: Leave the wrap on for 15 - 60 minutes, repeat until the discomfort subsides or consult your doctor.
Dry - the warm wrap can be used as a wrap itself, but to increase the effect of the heat you can warm the inner cotton part, for example by ironing. Our recommendation is to use warm cushions that you can also conveniently heat in the microwave - specifically cherry pits. They are characterized by their three-layer composition (1, 2, 3), where the top layer (1) consists of the wrap itself made of 100% cotton and anti-allergy fleece, the bottom layer (3) consists of a removable pad made of thin absorbent material, and between the bottom layer (3) and the top layer (1) is placed the middle layer (2) an impermeable part of the wrap, which ensures the water impermeability through the material and at the same time retains heat.
